Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to littlelegion.ai and everything published on it. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not, please stop using the site.

The site is operated by Little Legion, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. "We," "us," and "our" mean Little Legion, LLC. "You" means anyone accessing the site.

What this site is, and what it is not

This site exists to explain our services, our method, and our point of view, and to make it easy to start a conversation.

It is not:

• An offer or a quote. Nothing here creates a binding offer capable of acceptance. Pricing is bespoke and gets set in a written proposal, never on a web page.
• Professional advice. Descriptions of our method, our frameworks, and what tends to work are general information. They are not legal, financial, tax, or technical advice for your situation, and you should not act on them as though we had looked at your business. We have not, until you engage us.
• A promise of results. See Results and testimonials below.
• A client relationship. Reading this site, emailing us, or booking a discovery call does not make you a client and does not create any duty on our part. That begins when we both sign an agreement.

Engagements are governed by a separate agreement

This is the most important clause on the page, so it is stated plainly. If we work together, the signed engagement agreement, statement of work, or master services agreement governs that work entirely. Where anything on this website conflicts with your signed agreement, your signed agreement controls. Site copy describing phases, timelines, deliverables, or outcomes is illustrative of how we usually work. It is not a term of your contract unless it appears in your contract.

Intellectual property

Everything on this site is ours or licensed to us: the copy, the diagrams, the illustrations and characters, the page design, the code, and the underlying frameworks and methodology described here, including the named frameworks we use in delivery. The Little Legion name, wordmark, and logo are our marks.

What you may do without asking: read the site, share links to it, and quote short passages for commentary, reporting, teaching, or research, with attribution to Little Legion and a link back. Search engines and AI answer engines may crawl and index the site, consistent with our robots.txt, which welcomes them deliberately.

What needs our written permission: republishing the site or substantial parts of it, reproducing the diagrams or illustrations, or presenting our frameworks or methodology as your own or as part of a competing offer. Ask us. The answer is often yes.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, to interfere with how it runs, or to get at parts of it you were not given access to. Specifically, do not attempt to disrupt or overload the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, misrepresent yourself as us or as affiliated with us, or use our marks in a way that suggests an endorsement that does not exist.

Automated access for search indexing and answer engines is permitted per our robots.txt. Automated access that degrades the service for other people is not.

Results and testimonials

This site includes client testimonials and figures from past work, including work performed by our founder in prior roles. They are real and they are accurately reported. They are also specific to those clients, those problems, and those conditions, and they are not a prediction of what you will get. Outcomes depend on your data, your processes, your team, and how much of the work you carry. We do not guarantee any particular result, saving, revenue, or timeline.

Third-party links and services

The site links to third-party services, including our scheduling tool and our social profiles. We do not control them and we are not responsible for their content, their availability, or their handling of your data. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend, or remove any part of this site at any time, including these terms. Changes to the terms take effect when posted, and we will move the effective date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated version. We do not promise the site will always be available or error-free.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any information on it is complete or current.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Legion, LLC and anyone acting on its behalf will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill, arising out of or connected to your use of this site, whatever the legal theory and even if we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability for all claims relating to this website is limited to one hundred US dollars ($100). This limit applies to the website only. Liability arising from a signed engagement is governed by that agreement, not by this page.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Indemnity

If your use of this site breaks these terms or the law and that causes a third-party claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur as a result. This is narrow on purpose. It covers misuse of the site, and nothing else.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from this website will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and both of us consent to that venue. This clause covers the website. Disputes under a signed engagement follow whatever that agreement says.

General

• Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is narrowed to the minimum extent needed.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision straight away, we have not given it up.
• Entire agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us regarding this website, and they replace anything said about it beforehand. They do not replace a signed engagement agreement.
• Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business.
